(PAF) I am honored to serve as State President of PAF for 2020. PAF is empowered by its members working together to accomplish a central goal of professional growth. The association strives to inspire and motivate paralegals to be successful by providing continuing education and professional development; along with leadership roles in the paralegal community. The association is also very active in community service and developing relationships with other non-profit organizations and programs. With 12 chapters throughout the state and over 700 members, PAF is proud to say it’s the oldest and largest association in the state promoting the paralegal profession. On a State level, we offer an Annual Seminar in the fall providing continuing legal education on a variety of topics that affect paralegals in the workplace as well as in their personal lives. Also, our Chapters independently offer seminars at various times throughout the year to provide continuing legal education to their local paralegals. Our members enjoy member rates to all Chapter and State events, as well as State provided member benefits. We support our members sitting on committees with the Florida Bar to encourage the advancement of the profession and make sure paralegals are recognized and appreciated throughout the legal industry. I look forward to working with the newly elected Executive Committee and Board of Directors to provide more resources for our members, dedicating time to our committees and leadership development, and work on identifying more strategies to help us meet our association goals.
